"Our regionally-based chaplains aim to be impartial ‘friends’ to those who work on the railways, especially during an individual’s time of loneliness, stress, depression, bereavement or illness." - Railway Mission

About

Railway Mission is a Christian faith-based charity, offering pastoral care to the railway community and those that use rail services. This includes railway staff and other individuals that work in and around rail services, such as members of The British Transport Police. The charity also provides this support to members of the public who may have been affected by incidents on the railways.

Railway mission offers care to all, regardless of faith, gender, sexual orientation, and other differences. They are available throughout the year, for people during moments of hardship, such as bereavement, illness, or mental health difficulties. Support also extends to major incidents, such as crashes. With railway services also being affected by strikes so regularly, the support offered to all affected by this is invaluable.

"Each of our regionally-based chaplains aims to be an impartial ‘friend’ for those who work on the railways. Regardless of faith, gender, sexual orientation, our chaplains offer face-to-face year around support, especially during an individual’s time of loneliness, stress, depression, bereavement or illness." - Railway Mission
