The Anne Robson Trust: Bringing Comfort in Final Moments

Providing Compassion, Companionship, and Dignity for Those Facing the End Alone.

Kimberley Smith

The Anne Robson Trust was set up by Liz Pryor following the unexpected death of her mother, Anne Robson, and the impact it had on her family.

They help hospitals set up teams of volunteers to visit patients dying on the ward. The volunteers hold the patients hand, read to them, or play them their favourite song one last time. For many people, this is the only visit they receive before they die.

A hand to hold. A listening ear. The presence of another person. These simple things become invaluable in the final days and hours of life.
